Brandon Flight Centre is expanding again!

We are looking for an individual to become part of our team. If you have an outgoing, positive personality that makes students want to come back every day, a can-do attitude, and will ensure that the student not only enjoys their BFC experience, but will recommend it to others, then we need to talk!


Salary / Schedule

Base salary of $54,000 (class 3) - $59,000 (class 2), plus a generous hourly bonus is available and paid out monthly based on billed hours.

Permanent full time, flexible hours, Start ASAP


Functions:

  • Instruct students in procedures and techniques of flying

  • Instruct ground school subjects such as navigation, radio procedures and flying regulations

  • Train licensed pilots for additional certification

  • Set goals and document student progress

  • Plan, dispatch and supervise flights in accordant with Transport Canada regulations

  • Maintain accurate student records

  • Supervise Class 4 Instructors as assigned.

  • Act as Chief Flight Instructor in absence of CFI

  • Participate in future program development and community outreach as required

  • Management and advancement opportunities exist for suitable candidates


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Must possess a minimum of a Class 3 Transport Canada Instructor Rating

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English language

  • ICAO ALPD level 6 mandatory.

  • Strong knowledge and understand of aviation rules and regulations

  • Proficient in various teaching methods

  • Self-motivated, able to work without supervision

  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team

  • Able to adapt to change

  • Able to supervise the team

  • Demonstrate safety conscious behaviours

  • Demonstrate sound judgement and decision making

  • Must be client focused with a safe flying record
